The redevelopment of the park of the Fortress of Poggio imperiale included the restoration of the fortifications and the landscaping of the adjacent areas, the creation of pedestrian walkways, parking areas, and lookouts onto the natural landscape surrounding the monument.

With particular regard to the preservation of the walls, attention was paid to the preserve the vegetation established on the crests of walls and in the selection minimally invasive consolidation techniques as to avoid altering the chromatic and physical appearance of the walls.
